ON PAPER – an affordable art fair is a contemporary art fair dedicated entirely to works created on paper. It offers an accessible platform for artists, independent publishers, and a broad audience, making art easier to discover, understand, and collect. Public access to the fair is free, encouraging open participation and dialogue. The fair focuses on reproducible and editioned works, exploring how printed art is made, shared, and circulated.

Romanian–Hungarian bilingual edition, in the presence of the authors Evelin Márton and Cătălina Nistor.
ABC 80 is an alternative alphabet book inspired by the 1980s.
The publication reflects on the childhood years of the “Latchkey kids,” told from the perspective of children.

4:00 PM – Artist Talk: Zines, Collections & an Art Book Fair
with Florin Fâra – The Secret Garden & Sit + Read Artbook Fair
The Secret Garden and Sit + Read are two projects that explore independent publishing as spaces for meeting, experimentation, and community-building.
The presentation will trace their journey from DIY initiatives and small-scale formats to art fairs, exhibitions, and educational programs, highlighting collaboration, production processes, and the role of the fanzine and artist book in building vibrant and accessible cultural contexts.

Zine-making workshop with Maria Brudașcă
During this workshop, we will explore simple techniques for transforming a single sheet of paper into a miniature visual narrative.
The workshop is open to participants of all ages who are interested in drawing their own story. Participation is free, subject to availability. Materials are provided by OnPaper.

Zine Worlds – Personal Archive Exhibition
We invite you to discover a selection of zines from the personal archive of artist Cătălina Nistor.
The exhibition features fanzines, artist books, postcards, and limited-edition publications collected from Romania, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Serbia.
The works are produced using a variety of techniques, including digital print, xerox, engraving, risograph printing, and offset printing.
Participants’ Exhibition
Throughout the fair, one of the gallery rooms will host a group exhibition of participating artists, curated by Liviu Bulea and Maria Brudașcă.
